Real and Personal Property

1). Restate the difference between real and personal property, and give five hospitality examples of each.

In the hospitality industry, there are two types of property-

·         Real property

·         Personal Property

The law treats real property differently from personal property.

Real Property: It refers to land and all things that are permanently attached to land. It is immovable property. Examples, Buildings, are attached to land.  

Personal Property: Tangible and intangible item that are not real property., which are not fixed or associated with land. Example, bank account, insurance policies, stocks, books etc are moveable from one place to another
